N-Back Privacy Policy

1. Scope and operator

This policy covers the processing of information by the N-Back app (the "app") provided by kwlabs (the "operator"). It does not cover kwlabs.org, app stores, or services operated by your device's operating system.

2. Information stored and handled by the app

To run training sessions, show results and statistics, and retain preferences, the app stores completed-session records (completion time, mode and N-level, trial count, and results such as accuracy, d′, and reaction times) and preferences (language, default mode and N-level, per-mode N-levels, trials per session, stimulus and interval timing, volume, screen theme, automatic difficulty, and haptics) in local storage on your device or browser.

The current version does not require an account or provide online sync. It does not send these records or settings to servers operated by kwlabs, and the app does not request your name, contact details, or location.

The current version includes no advertising, third-party analytics, or ad-tracking features. Audio exercises play built-in sounds and do not record microphone input.

3. Retention and deletion

You can delete individual training records from the app's history. Local records and settings remain until you clear app data or browser site data. Uninstalling the mobile app also removes its on-device data. Information included in an operating-system backup may remain or be restored under the backup provider's policies.

The operator does not receive training records or settings and therefore cannot access, change, or delete them for you.

4. Inquiries and external services

If you email a privacy question, the operator handles the sender address and information in your message to respond and manage the inquiry. We keep it only as long as needed for that purpose or as required by law. Email service providers may also process the message to send and store it.

App stores and operating-system providers may separately process information for app distribution, device backups, or their own diagnostics. Their processing is governed by their privacy notices and your settings.

5. Your rights and contact

Where applicable law provides these rights, you may request access to, correction or deletion of personal information, or restriction of its processing. Training records are not sent to the operator, so we cannot provide, change, or delete them for you. Delete individual records in the app's history; manage all local data through your device or browser storage settings.

6. Policy changes and future online features

We will post policy revisions and their effective dates, and provide additional notice of material changes. Before adding accounts, online sync, leaderboards, advertising, analytics, or other server features, we will update this policy and any required notices to describe the data, purposes, retention, service providers or recipients, any applicable cross-border transfers, and user choices or deletion methods.
